Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, has charged the chairmen and board members of various establishments/ institutions in the state to work assiduously in realizing his administration’s vision of transforming the education and health sector of the State.
Ikpeazu gave the charge at the Michael Okpara auditorium, Umuahia, while inaugurating the chairmen and board members of ASUBEB, Hospital Management Board, Abia State University Teaching Hospital and the Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Aba.
Governor Ikpeazu, represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, further urged them not to betray the confidence reposed in them but to deliver on their mandates.
He enjoined the chairmen of the various boards to be proactive and carry their members along to ensure that the objective of the government setting up the boards is achieved.
Responding on behalf of other chairmen and members of the various boards, the Chairman of Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Linus Ogbuokiri, appreciated the Governor for finding them worthy to serve in their various capacities and assured that they will not betray the confidence reposed in them, but work optimally to move their various institutions to the next level.
Other Boards of Establishments inaugurated included, the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASIUBEB) with Elder Josiah Ikechukwu Anonaba as Chairman , Hospital Management Board has Dr. Obinna Allison as Chairman while Abia State University Teaching Hospital has Dr. Davidson Nwokoh as Chairman of it’s Board.
DAILY POST reports that the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency Chief Ginger Onwusibe , the SSG, Mr. Chris Ezem, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, the ACB Agbazuere, top government officials and other distinguished personalities were present during the inauguration.
