The initiative is under the Agriculture-based Youth Empowerment Scheme (Agric-YES).

Olusanya said the programme was in furtherance of the administration’s objective to train 15,000 youths and women in various agricultural value chains by 2023.

The commissioner said the significance of the training would be the creation of 2,000 Agro-Entrepreneurs who would become employers, promote food security, improve nutrition and create at least thousands of indirect jobs annually.
