Senator Adamu Aliero representing Kebbi Central Senatorial district has supported the calls for the sack of service chiefs.
Aliero said the killing of 43 farmers by Boko Haram terrorists shows that the service chiefs have outlived their usefulness.
Aliero’s position was on the backdrop of concerns raised in a motion by Senator Shettima over the beheading of farmers in Borno State.
“As I speak, my heart bleeds because innocent people have been killed. These people were trying to make a living and unfortunately, they met their end.
“Mr. President, this doesn’t happen anywhere in the world. It is the height of insecurity. This is a condemnable act.
“The Service Chiefs have outlived their usefulness. It is now time to take new blood,” Senator Aliero said.
The Senator also criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for sending delegates to Borno State after such an incident.
“ Mr. President {@MBuhari} should have gone to Borno State to condole with the government and people of the State and not to send a delegation. It is now time to act. “
