Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has sought the approval of members of the State House of Assembly to appoint members of the State Anti-corruption agency.
DAILY POST gathered that Makinde on Monday sent names of prospective members of the agency to the Assembly.
He sent names of the nominees for the Board of the Oyo State Anti-corruption Agency to the state Assembly on Monday
Makinde made the request in a letter read by the Speaker of the state Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.
The nominees are Honourable Justice Eni Esan, a rtd President of Oyo State Customary Court as Chairman, Prince Oyebade Oyedepo, ICAN representative as Member, Barrister Temitope Ayorinde as a member and Mrs Esther Olapade as a member.
Others are Mr A.S Ashaolu, a representative of DSS as Member, CSP Erindero Lawrence, a representative of Nigeria Police Force as Member and Mr Ibrahim Oyemonla Tijani, Director Ministry of Justice as Secretary.
Makinde in the letter noted that the nominees were selected based on their track records.
He then urged the House to screen and confirm their appointment.
The Speaker after reading the letter directed the nominees to appear before the House on Friday 18th December 2020 for screening.
