President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the passing of his former Mimister, Abdullahi Ibrahim.
Abdullahi Ibrahim, SAN, was Buhari’s first Minister of Education, Science and Technology as Military Head of State.
Buhari later appointed him as the Minister of Transportation, and he went on to serve as the Attorney General and Minister of Justice under the regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
In the message on Sunday, a copy of which was made available to DAILY POST, by Garba Shehu, his Spokesman, Buhari described Abdullahi Ibrahim as an “exemplary lawyer and statesman with impeccable integrity.”
According to Buhari, Ibrahim will be missed for his selfless service to the country.
“As Minister in my government, Abdullahi Ibrahim will be remembered for doing so much to empower the girl child, including access to education,” Buhari said.
“His accomplishments will continue to make us proud,” the President added, extending the condolences of the entire nation to the bereaved family and Kogi State government.
Report has it that the former Minister died of COVID-19 on Sunday.
