A legal practitioner in Delta State, Mr. Innocent Onyekachi Oritsetimeyin Akpotedja-Adjenughure Esq, has reacted to the appointments of the new Service Chiefs by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr. Adjenughure spoke with DAILY POST shortly after the appointments of the new Service Chiefs were announced by the President on Tuesday.
The new Service Chiefs include, Gen. Leo Irabor, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Air Vice Marshal, AVM, Isiaka Amao, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo and Maj. Gen. I Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff.
The new Service Chiefs were appointed after President Buhari received the resignation letters of their predecessors.
Mr. Adjenughure said, “It’s a welcome development and the geopolitical balance is welcoming.
“It’s a departure from the ethnocentric Buhari we know.
“It’s long overdue. We just hope these new Service Chiefs would be able to restore security, peace and order in the country.”
