This was caused by a major outage at the content delivery network, Cloudflare, which caused hundreds of websites across the Internet to stop working and display the error message.
Websites make use of Cloudflare to deliver content from the cloud safely, for users to utilise them.
Following the outage on one the most popular CDN, Cloudflare, websites such as Discord, Shopify, Fitbit, Peloton, Grindr, Ring, bet365, Google, NordVPN, JustEat and Ladbrokes, according to Downdetector, were affected.
Cloudflare, on its official Twitter handle, acknowledged the issue and also announced that it has been resolved.
On its official site, Cloudflare said, “A critical P0 incident was declared at approximately 06:34 AM UTC. Connectivity in Cloudflare’s network has been disrupted in broad regions.
“Customers attempting to reach Cloudflare sites in impacted regions will observe 500 errors. The incident impacts all data plane services in our network.”
After identifications, investigations, and monitoring, Cloudflare revealed that the issue has been resolved as of 08:06 AM UTC.
