This warning comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission’ states its decision to hold supplementary election in 18 affected polling units.
During an emergency conference, organised by the party, Doguwa emphasized that the party’s candidate for Feggae Federal House of Representatives Constituency, Mohammed Bello Fagge, scored 18,410 votes.
According to Doguwa, Bello scored the highest votes when compared with that of Labour Party’s candidate, who scored 12,729 votes, the All Progressive candidate garnered 8,194 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party scored 6,546 votes, as announced by the collation officer, Professor Shehu Umar of Bayero University, Kano.
“Results from 15 polling units were cancelled due to over-voting and disruption of electoral process in Ammy Day Primary School and 17 other polling units,” he said.
The margin between that of the NNPP and that of the LP, is 5,656, indicating that the total number of collected PVCs is higher than the margin of the NNPP and LP, indicating that supplementary election is required to determine the winner.
“The Kano NNPP has observed that some attempts are been made by some unscrupulous elements to connive with the Kano State Government and INEC officials to manipulate the collated results, hence the call on the presidency and security agencies to scuttle such a move.”
