The Redeemed Christian Church of God is set to hold an economic summit to tackle prevailing economic challenges in the country.
It said in a statement that the 2023 economic summit, organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Christ the Lord Parish in Lekki, Lagos, would focus on equipping Nigerians with the necessary knowledge and resources to navigate the emerging economic landscape in light of the prevailing challenges.
In the statement, the pastor in charge of RCCG Lagos Province 20, Tunde Netufo, said the upcoming summit, which would take place in Lekki, Lagos, was an annual interdenominational event.
He added that it was one of the Church’s Christian Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at bringing positive transformation to the lives of people in its community.
Netufo said, “The summit promises to bring together accomplished individuals from critical sectors of the Nigerian economy that have been carefully selected to discuss the Nigerian economy’s outlook. Also, renowned economist and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Bismark Rewane, will be the keynote speaker.
“The summit will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for entrepreneurs, professionals, farmers, and owners of medium and small businesses to network with industry leaders and exchange ideas to help them navigate the current and emerging economic landscape.”
The statement noted that other industry experts expected to speak at the summit included the Chief Executive Officer of Optimus Bank, Dr Ademola Odeyemi; the Managing Partner of Sahel Capital, Mezuo Nwuneli; and the Channel Director of Africa for Oracle, Weyinmi Egbe, who would discuss opportunities for business growth in the current financial and technology markets, as well as the agriculture and microbusiness sectors.
It added, “The Head of Corporate Development at African Capital Alliance, Uwa Osa-Oboh, and, the Executive Director of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Joe Mbulu, would moderate the summit, which would be available for both physical and virtual attendees, allowing entrepreneurs, professionals, and small business owners to participate regardless of their location.
“Participants residents in Lagos are, however, strongly advised to attend physically so that they can take advantage of the networking opportunities.”
