Recall that Seun was arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, popularly known as Panti, in Lagos State, over an alleged assault on a police officer on May 14th.
The Afrobeat crooner finally regained freedom a couple of hours ago and has taken to his Instagram page to thank his legal team for helping secure his bail.
His post read; ”Last but not least, the legal team. Uncle Femi Falana, SAN, Uncle Olumide Fisika, SAN, Uncle Kayode Adegoke, SAN, Barrister Ogunlana, Ade Ademiluyi; and everyone on the team, I owe you my freedom and my sanity. Let’s go.”
Seun’s release was confirmed by his attorney, Olumide-Fusika, SAN, in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Tuesday night.
His lawyer also confirmed that the singer will be at the Yaba Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday, for the proceedings that were adjourned today due to the magistrate’s absence.
Meanwhile, the internationally recognised African star had earlier appreciated friends and family who stood by him during his trying times. Seun also shared a post on his IG page writing;
”I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chef yeidikuti.”
