Why Tinubu should support Jaji- Group

A group, the Better Nigeria Movement, has asked President Bola Tinubu to support a lawmaker from Zamfara State, Sani Jaji, for the position of Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives during the upcoming inauguration of the National Assembly.

The group described Jaji was described as one of the most qualified candidates.

In a statement made available to our correspondent in Abuja, on Wednesday, the group said that the lawmaker was one of the earliest supporters of Tinubu, hence the support for him.

The group said, “We are of the opinion that the party [the All Progressives Congress] should go for Jaji, who comes from the same state as Yari; it’s not in the nation’s interest to have another Muslim as a Senate President when we already had a Muslim-Muslim as President and Vice-president respectively, we shouldn’t push our luck beyond the limit

“With the way things are going, Jaji is the best bet. President Tinubu should change his mind. Jaji is a ranking and ardent supporter of President Tinubu and his predecessor, Buhari, He served as the contact and mobilisation director of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Council for the North-West.”
