Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc has announced that it will be launching the ‘Verification and Authentication of Certificates’ Solution on September 14.
VAC Solution is a secure online platform aimed at addressing the challenges faced by educational and professional institutions, organisations, and graduates in credential verification and authentication, as well as transcript request processing.
According to NSPM, the VAC solution is an interactive, user-friendly, and secure interface, which has been designed to streamline and automate the verification process and transcript requests.
“This solution expedites verification, enhances resource utilisation, promotes transparency and accountability, provides robust analytics, and, most importantly, ensures the authenticity and credibility of educational and professional credentials,” the organisation said in a release.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of NSPM, Mr Ahmed Halilu, emphasised that the VAC Solution aimed to simplify the process of verifying educational and professional credentials for tertiary institutions, organisations, and individuals.
According to Halilu, it offers a secure means to manage and verify certificates and facilitates the request for transcripts.
He noted, “The goal is to harness the power of technological solutions to bring about efficiency, accuracy, security, and convenience in the verification process, benefiting educational and professional institutions, employers, graduates, and other stakeholders.
“The platform equips institutions with a convenient way to process requests through secure and encrypted Application Programming Interfaces, positioning the VAC Solution as the go-to platform for credential verification and authentication in Nigeria.”
As part of the launching of the solution, NSPM would host a virtual webinar with the theme ‘Credential Verification in the Digital Age: Leveraging Innovative Technologies to Prevent Forgery, Fortify Documents, and Protect Institutional Reputation.’
According to NSPM, the keynote speaker for the virtual launch is the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi.
