The sad news of the death of well-known Nollywood actor Dejumo Lewis has shocked the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Saidi Balogun, his colleague, confirmed the veteran actor’s departure on Saturday via a sad Instagram post.
Balogun sent a touching tribute to the late actor on Instagram, writing, “Good night, DEJUMO LEWIS. May your soul rest in perfect peace.” RIP.
Although the circumstances behind Lewis’s death are still unknown, fans, other actors, and actresses in the Nollywood community have expressed their condolences in response to Balogun’s moving letter.
Dejumo Lewis was a well-known actor and television personality in Nigeria. He is best known for playing Kabiyesi in “The Village Headmaster,” the country’s longest-running soap opera, which broadcast on NTA from 1968 until 1988. He became well-known thanks to his outstanding performances with Justus Esiri, Femi Robinson, and other gifted performers.
Lewis left a lasting impression on Nigerian entertainment by making noteworthy contributions to critically praised movies like “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018).
