In a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the police said they were unaware of such attacks.
However, Adeh asked that anyone or any persons with evidence of any such activities to come forward and report to the police.
“The FCT Police Command is not aware of any looting of food trucks in Dei-Dei Abuja this morning, being the 4/3/2024, but if you have any information pls, come to us with details,” the statement read.
The PUNCH had earlier reported the looting of a warehouse in Gwagwa-Tasha, belonging to the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat of the FCTA at Gwagwa in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, on Sunday.
The Spokesperson for the Secretariat, Zakari Aliyu, and the Public Relations Officer of the Police Command both confirmed the incident and the arrest of 15 persons in connection with the vandalisation of the warehouse.
Meanwhile, the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, following a visit to the warehouse earlier today, and in a statement by her S.A Media, Austin Elemue, said the administration will reinforce security across government-owned warehouses in the territory.
“This is a sign that we need to reinforce the security situation around all our warehouses because you just have to keep food,” the statement partly read.
