The governor, in his congratulatory message, noted that Air Peace’s historic flight, carrying 260 passengers aboard a 274-seat capacity Boeing 777, marked a milestone in Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Soludo stated these in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Saturday.
He said the resumption of flights by an indigenous carrier on one of the most lucrative routes from Nigeria since 2019 is indeed a historic event worth celebrating.
The statement read, “While further commending Onyema, a distinguished son of Anambra State, for his exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and relentless pursuit of excellence, Soludo expressed delight that the new achievement reaffirms Air Peace’s position as one of the most successful private airlines in Nigeria and underscores Onyema’s status as a trailblazer in the aviation industry.
“Thus, the governor wishes Onyema many more milestones of achievements as he continues to fly the flag of excellence for Nigeria, reinforcing the confidence that a new Nigeria is possible when indigenous businesses such as Air Peace are led by visionaries and enjoy an enabling environment fostered by the government.”
