A video capturing the students of Ekiti State University from the Department of Science Lab Technology celebrating their sign-out with a full cow has gained traction online as netizens speculate about their daily income.
The video shared on TikTok by one of the students, who identifies as @Million_daller revealed a WhatsApp chat among the students’ planning committee, where a member suggested that they should celebrate their sign-out using a cow.
The lady noted that the men in her department had an agreement to kill a cow and also raised money within themselves to sponsor the entire barbecue meal.
In the video clip, the students were recorded celebrating wholeheartedly on the sign-out day; eating their cow barbecue and cheering themselves.
Many have compared the celebration of the SLT department to other departments in the school, claiming some departments are buoyant enough to organize a proper party.
While some congratulated the students on their sign-out, others questioned whether any student graduated with a first class.
