Adeleke spoke on Wednesday in Ede, Osun State at the commissioning and distribution of ultra-modern medical devices donated to the state by the International Hope Canada.
The governor, represented by the deputy governor, Mr Kola Adewusi, said he recognised that a healthy population was essential for the state’s socio-economic development.
“To this end, we have embarked on various initiatives aimed at strengthening our healthcare system, and today’s event is a testament to our commitment. The provision of quality healthcare services is a cornerstone of our administration. We recognise that a healthy population is essential for the socioeconomic development of our State.
“The commissioning and distribution of these state-of-the-art medical devices represent a significant investment in the future of our healthcare infrastructure. These advanced tools will enable our healthcare professionals to provide more accurate diagnoses, better treatments, and improved patient care.
“Furthermore, I want to reassure all the residents of Osun State that our administration will continue to prioritize healthcare, through continuous investment in infrastructure, training, and welfare of our medical personnel,” Adewusi said.
In his remarks, the state Commissioner for Health, Mr Jola Akinola, said the administration has been executing various initiatives to ensure that the residents remain in sound health.
