A tracking analysis of public responses to the civic engagement portal launched by African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar found that 72.34% of 47 recorded observations reflected negotiated reception, while 27.65% indicated outright acceptance.
The analysis by CEREDEMS-AFRICA examined how people interpreted the portal, which invites Nigerians to question Atiku about his record and capacity to govern if elected in 2027.
According to the findings, negotiated responses went beyond the portal’s stated purpose to question its timing, motivation and practical value.
The results suggest that public reception of the initiative was mixed, with most tracked responses reflecting engagement that went beyond straightforward acceptance.
