Spain’s national team coach is being reported as the recipient of the Men’s Coach of the Year award at the 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony at the London Palladium in London.
De la Fuente was nominated after leading Spain to the 2026 FIFA World Cup title, adding to his team’s major honours under his leadership.
The London venue also pays tribute to Sir Stanley Matthews, the English football legend who became the inaugural Ballon d’Or winner in 1956.
According to UEFA, the 2026 ceremony brings the prestigious awards to the British capital for the first time, adding historical significance to the anniversary edition.
