Levels! Top Designer Thebe Magugu Named One of Vogue Business 100 Innovators. One thing about our local designers, they have tapped on the international market, and are doing very well. The likes of Rich Mnisi, David Tlale, Gert-Johan Coetzee, Maxhosa by Laduma and many others have dressed international stars, and showcased their designs in various international fashion weeks.
Another fashion designer always making us proud internationally is no doubt Thebe Magugu. Earlier this year, American reality TV star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner rocked an item from his AW21’s ‘Alchemy’ collection. The collection, which embraces the world of healers, has become a hit both locally and internationally. Four months later, Thebe dressed another international star, Rihanna. The multi-award winning Barbadian singer-songwriter and businesswoman rocked a Thebe Magugu Merino wool fringe knitted dress that has a detachable bralette. The outfit also comes from AW21’s Alchemy collection.
Thebe has just been honored by Vogue as one of the inaugural Vogue Business 100 Innovators. The award winning designer has been selected under the Next-gen entrepreneurs and agitators list.
