…Wins RPL Match Ball Deal Through 2028
The Rwanda Premier League (RPL) has sealed a landmark three-year partnership with ProStar Sports International, the fast-rising Nigerian sports equipment manufacturer, in a deal that positions ProStar as the official producer of match balls for all RPL fixtures beginning January 2026.
Under the agreement, ProStar Sports International will supply professionally engineered, high-performance match balls that meet international competition standards. Production and distribution are already underway, and every club in the league will receive the official match balls free of charge for the next three seasons.
RPL CEO Jules Karangwa praised the partnership as a major leap forward in the league’s ongoing drive toward modernization and professional excellence.
“This agreement marks another significant step in elevating the Rwanda Premier League. Working with ProStar ensures that our clubs will compete using a reliable, premium-quality match ball that meets international standards,”
Karangwa said.
He added that the league is delighted to welcome a committed partner whose products will standardize equipment, improve match quality, and strengthen the professional framework of football across Rwanda.
For ProStar Sports International, this partnership represents a proud milestone not only for the company but also for Nigerian sports entrepreneurship on the African stage.
ProStar CEO Paul Maduakor, a respected Nigerian sports executive, expressed excitement about expanding the company’s footprint into East Africa.

Maduakor stated.
The official RPL match ball will feature advanced performance technology and a design inspired by Rwanda’s vibrant cultural identity, and will make its league debut in early 2026.
