The singer passed away on September 12 under mysterious circumstances and Nigerians insisted on conducting an autopsy to determine the true reason for his demise.
His corpse was removed from its burial site in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on September 21, precisely two months ago, so that an autopsy could be performed. The state police headquarters declared on October 6 that the autopsy was finished and the findings were pending.
Nigerians have been eagerly awaiting the outcome’s specifics. However, on Monday, November 20, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, stated in a conversation with Punch that the command had not yet received the results.
“The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been carrying rumours that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumours, we work with facts,” he said
