In a market increasingly shaped by health-conscious consumers and evolving food preferences, one Nigerian snack brand is gaining attention for its simple yet intentional approach to better eating. Snacksnest, founded by young entrepreneur Mr. Abolaji Jinadu, is positioning itself within this growing shift by reimagining everyday snacks into healthier, locally made alternatives.
Amid the vibrant atmosphere, colourful displays, and endless aromas that define the 2026 GTCO Food and Drink Festival, Snacksnest stands out for its focus on healthy and flavourful snack offerings.
With a commitment to healthier snack alternatives, the brand is gradually building a reputation for transforming everyday favourites into crunchy treats that appeal to both casual snack lovers and health-conscious consumers.
Speaking during the festival, Abolaji Jinadu, CEO of Snacksnest, described the brand as one committed to offering tasty yet healthier snack options through creatively prepared plantain and potato chips.
“Our snacks are healthy options,” he explained while showcasing the brand’s growing range of products to visitors at the exhibition.
At the heart of the brand’s offerings are its plantain chips, carefully prepared in four different variants to suit varying tastes and preferences. Customers can choose from ripe plain plantain chips, spicy ripe plantain chips, unripe plantain chips, and spicy unripe plantain chips. The brand also offers potato chips, adding more variety to its expanding snack collection.
The diversity of flavours and textures has made Snacks Nest stand out among exhibitors, attracting visitors eager to explore locally made snacks with a healthier twist.
For Abolaji, the exhibition represents a key milestone for the growing brand. It is his first time showcasing at the prestigious culinary and business event, which brings together food entrepreneurs, chefs, and industry stakeholders from across Africa.
Describing his experience so far, the entrepreneur expressed optimism and excitement about the opportunities the platform presents.
“It’s my first time exhibiting at the GTCO Festival, and the experience so far has been amazing,” he said.
While sales and customer engagement on the opening day were encouraging, Abolaji remains hopeful for even greater turnout as the event progresses.
“Yesterday was good. We believe today will be better, and tomorrow should be even better,” he added confidently.
Beyond showcasing products, the platform also provides entrepreneurs like Abolaji with opportunities to connect with new customers, gain visibility, and explore partnerships that can support business expansion beyond local markets.
As conversations around healthier eating continue to grow in Nigeria, brands such as Snacksnest are tapping into changing consumer habits by offering alternatives that combine convenience, taste, and nutrition.
For many visitors, Snacksnest represents more than just another snack brand; it reflects the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit driving Nigeria’s emerging food industry.
With growing visibility and an expanding customer base, Abolaji Jinadu appears determined to position Snacksnest as a household name in the healthy snacks market, one crunchy bite at a time.
