Socialite and political influencer, Cubana Chief Priest, has publicly reacted to his loss of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket, following the party’s zoning arrangement and internal consensus within his federal constituency in Imo State.
In a detailed statement shared via his social media status, he addressed the controversy surrounding his withdrawal from the primaries, clarified his political position, and reaffirmed loyalty to the ruling party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
He explained that his ambition was driven by what he described as a personal conviction that the current representative had not fully met the expectations of constituents. However, he noted that consultations within the party structure ultimately shaped the outcome.

According to him, a key meeting with Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, was decisive in clarifying the zoning balance within the federal constituency.
He said the governor emphasized that the arrangement was designed to ensure fairness among local government areas, maintaining that Orlu zone should complete its agreed political tenure before power rotates to another area. He further noted that it was not yet the turn of his own local government area to produce the next House of Representatives member.
Cubana ChiefPriest added that he respected the decision of the party leadership and immediately stepped down from the race after the position was communicated, stressing that he did not attend or participate in the primaries.
“For the records, my commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains absolute and unwavering,” he stated. “I will continue vigorously with our advocacy and mobilisation efforts for the success of the Renewed Hope agenda.”
He also reaffirmed his political alignment with the All Progressives Congress, declaring that his loyalty to the party remains intact despite the outcome of the primaries.
“The APC remains my party, today and always. I remain loyal and committed to the ideals and leadership of our great party, and on the Asiwaju mandate, we stand firmly and unapologetically,” he added.
Addressing speculation and online commentary surrounding his ambition, he dismissed claims of internal disputes or misunderstandings, insisting that his participation in the process was purely voluntary and rooted in a desire to serve.
He further stated that his political movement succeeded in raising awareness and energising grassroots engagement across the constituency, adding that democracy is strengthened through participation, consultation, and adherence to party structures.
Cubana ChiefPriest concluded by urging his supporters and members of the City Boy Movement to remain calm, focused, and committed to ongoing political mobilisation in support of the APC ahead of future elections.
