Nigeria’s worsening security crisis has once again come under intense public scrutiny following reports of the killing of 15 soldiers in Borno State. While security agencies remain engaged in ongoing operations against criminal elements, public concern persists over the frequency and severity of attacks across various regions of the country.
According to Prof. Favour Ayodele, national security should transcend political considerations.
“At moments like this, politics must take a back seat. Every life lost weakens the nation and deepens the pain of affected families. The focus must be on protecting Nigerians and restoring confidence in the state’s ability to secure its people.”
