Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has publicly shown support for celebrity businessman and socialite Cubana ChiefPriest following his reported loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, was contesting for the APC ticket to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. The nightlife promoter and entrepreneur also serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement.
The APC primary election reportedly took place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Imo State as part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections. Reports indicated that the contest was won by the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Moore Nwachukwu, who retained the APC ticket for the constituency.
Following the outcome of the primaries, Seyi Tinubu took to social media to encourage the celebrity businessman with a motivational message that has since attracted reactions online.
Sharing a photo of Cubana Chief Priest alongside his wife, Seyi Tinubu wrote:
“Bro sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving.”

The message quickly generated conversations across social media platforms, with supporters praising Seyi Tinubu for standing by Cubana Chief Priest during what many described as a disappointing political moment.
Several social media users commended the show of friendship, encouragement, and solidarity, noting that politics often comes with victories and setbacks. Others encouraged Cubana Chief Priest not to give up on his political ambitions despite the outcome of the APC primaries.
Cubana Chief Priest had in recent months become increasingly active in political activities, especially through his involvement with the City Boys Movement, a political support group associated with President Tinubu’s administration. His entrance into the race attracted significant public attention due to his popularity in the entertainment and nightlife industry.
The development further reflects the growing intersection between entertainment and politics in Nigeria, as celebrities and influential public figures continue to seek political offices and participate actively in party structures.
