Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has reportedly lost the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries in Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tuggar had earlier resigned from the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pursue his governorship ambition, following the President’s directive that political appointees seeking elective offices in 2027 must step down from their positions.
Results from the party primaries indicate that Tuggar was unsuccessful in securing the APC governorship ticket.
More details later.
